Property API and other enhancements released 10 March 2025

Spatial Services is pleased to announce the release of the Property API, along with updates to various other NSW Point V3 APIs, available from Monday, 10 March 2025.

The Property API validates State and National property references, linking to authoritative cadastral and address datasets. It allows customers to input a 'property ID' and retrieve FSDI property and cadastral data.

The Property API release brings several key benefits:

  • State and national property IDs - Nationwide property data available
  • Reliable property validation - Ensures accuracy by linking to authoritative cadastral and address datasets at both state and national levels.
  • Seamless data integration - Connects property references across multiple datasets, simplifying access to FSDI property and cadastral data.
  • Customisable responses - Users can refine API responses with filtering options and select preferred Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS) for better compatibility with their workflows.
  • Comprehensive property insights - The response includes essential details such as cadastral parcels and administrative boundaries, providing a complete property view.
  • Efficient data management - Pagination functionality enhances performance, allowing users to retrieve large datasets efficiently.

Other NSW Point enhancements included in this release:

  • MailPoint API - The functionality to support bulk mail delivery via Australia Post has been enhanced (further information available here). Users can now customise the barcode using the following parameters:
    • barcodeFormat
    • barcodeData
  • propertyBundle - Streamline your property data retrieval with a single API response. This feature allows you to access property details from all NSW Point APIs that support the Additional Properties parameter, improving cross-referencing and efficiency (further information available here).
  • ContributorPropertyId - Ensure data consistency and traceability with a unique identifier assigned by state or territory governments. This ID links Geoscape's national property dataset with authoritative property records across jurisdictions.
  • Updated stateFilter parameter - The 'all' value has been deprecated from the stateFilter parameter in all NSW Point V3 APIs. Accepted values: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA, OT.
  • Updated dataset parameter - The 'all' value has been deprecated from the dataset parameter in all NSW Point V3 APIs.
